SWIMMING MEET

 

The annual Swimming Meet was held in September with enthusiastic participation from students from class III to XII. The water polo match as usual was the highlight of the event.

 

 

TEACHERS' DAY

 

Teachers’ Day was celebrated in the school with great joy and enthusiasm. The students of classes VI to VIII paid a tribute to the teachers with a memorable performance. The teachers were very touched and enjoyed themselves thoroughly.

 

 

INDEPENDENCE DAY

 

The spirit of patriotism and pride in our nation, and a respect for the our freedom fighters was instilled in the students through Independence Day celebrations.

 

 

HOLIDAY HOMEWORK DISPLAY

 

The creative work of Shadley was put on display during PTM. The innovative ideas presented by the students were admired and appreciated by the parents. The best self effort of a student was awarded as ‘Star Presentation’ along with ‘Good Presentation’ for appreciable effort. The parents admired the results of the hard work put in by the students which was presented beautifully by the teachers.

 

 

DENGUE & CHIKUNGUNYA AWARENESS PROGRAMME

 

A Dengue and Chikungunya Awareness Programme was organised to impart information to students on what measures to take to protect themselves and their environment from these diseases.

 

 

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP

 

A two day workshop was organized by C.B.S.E. at Shadley Public School on 3.7.17 and 4.7.17 on Classroom Management, to enlighten the teachers. The strategies and theories were discussed by eminent resource person Mrs. Usha Anand and Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur.

 

The workshop focused on the three Cs which are required for effective classroom management – ‘Content, Conduct and Covenant’.

 

A plethora of activities,  suggestions and discussions  were held to provide appropriate  alternates  to various   situations   confronted    in  the  class  for   effective  classroom  management.  Our  principal

Ms. Rashmi Sachdeva also guided and shared her views regarding the workshop. She appreciated the ideology of the resource persons for their valuable thoughts.

 

 

EXCURSION / EDUCATIONAL TRIP

 

Students of classes IX – XII went on an exciting and educational trip to Jim Corbett and Nainital which was organized by the school. They enjoyed themselves thoroughly.

 

 

SHADLEY’S YOUTH PARLIAMENT

 

Students of class XI presented youth parliament with a debate on the current topic of ‘Reservation for Women’ in Lok Sabha. The objective of this activity was to teach children about democracy, equip them with debating skills, stimulate their minds, encourage them to think for themselves and advocate their ideas and make them a reality. It inculcated a sense of leadership.

 

Two groups of students representing the ruling party and the opposition respectively and a student representing the speaker, together presented a powerful event.

 

 

WORKSHOP ON ECONOMIC UPHEAVAL

 

The department of Commerce organized a workshop on ‘Economic Upheaval and Tax Awareness‘ for the students of classes VI - XI. Students of class XII explained the different types of taxes and how they are a source for the countries development, through dramatization and use of audio-visual teaching aids. At the conclusion of the workshop the students took a pledge that,” We will be honest in paying taxes to government for the growth and welfare of the country.”

 

 

COOKING WITHOUT FIRE

 

The school encourages children to acquire culinary skills with simple, healthy, quick and tasty recipes, through Cooking without Fire . They are also taught the art of food presentation. Students look forward to these sesions.

 

 

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR CLASS XII (2017 - 18)

 

The school conducted an orientation programme for students of class XII and their parents. The parents appreciated the efforts of the school and participated enthusiastically.

 

 

 

SPORTS DAY 2016 - 17
